A card downloaded from DigiLocker arrives as a PDF sitting in the middle of an A4 page. Printed as it is, the card comes out the wrong size and will not fit a PVC pouch — because the PDF never states how large the card should be.
CR80, 85.6 × 54 mm, is the standard: the same size as a debit card or a driving licence. Printed at that size the card fits any pouch.
Resolution is where quality is usually lost. At 150 dpi the small print blurs and the QR code stops scanning, which makes the card useless. This tool works at 600 dpi, so a card is 2020 × 1276 pixels and the code reads cleanly.
When you print, set the printer to Actual size or 100%. Leaving it on "Fit to page" rescales everything and is the single most common reason a printed card comes out wrong.
