SSC, UPSC and several state boards will not accept a photograph unless the candidate name and the date it was taken are printed on it. Their own specimen shows a white band under the picture with two lines of text, and that is what this page produces by default.

Type the name and the date. Today's date is filled in already, so change it only if the photograph was taken on another day. Leave either field blank to print just the other.

The text is sized to the band and shrinks automatically until the longest line fits the width, so a long name is never cut off. Choose the overlay placement instead if the form wants the text across the bottom of the picture rather than below it.

The whole thing is then fitted to the pixel size and KB range the form asks for, which is where most rejections actually happen. A photograph with the name printed but the wrong dimensions is refused just the same.
